Dr. Harald Meden graduated from the University of Göttingen School of Medicine, Göttingen, Germany. He pursued his medical education at the same University and specialized in several fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Meden is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Göttingen, Germany, School of Medicine.
Dr. Meden is Head of the Swiss Institute for New Concepts and Treatments, Richterswil / Zurich, Switzerland.
He is a member of many medical professional societies including the European Society of Gynecology, the German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology und the Swiss Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Meden has been a board member of the European Society of Gynecology (ESG) for 12 years. He is the head of the Working Group Integrative Medicine in Female, Division of the German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Furthermore, he is a member of many medical committees and a reviewer of several international scientific journals,.
Dr. Meden has been principal Investigator for many trials on medical diagnostics and treatments in obstetrics and gynecology. He is scientific reviewer for several international journals.
Dr. Meden has authored or co-authored more than 80 papers in the field of obstetrics and gynecology,
with a focus on new concepts in oncology and quality of life, published in peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of two medical books addressing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, and he is the editor of a medical book addressing new strategies in breast cancer.
Dr. Meden is active in giving lectures and classes at several universities and institutions on an international level. Based on a concept of the World Health Organisation WHO, Geneve, he developed a curriculum for a new concept of learning in the field of complementary medicine in gynecologic oncology.
He was the head of a comprehensive breast cancer center, where he introduced several new treatments, in the fields of conventional and complementary medicine. Dr. Meden was the director of
Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Meden has been practicing Gynecology with a focus on gynecologic oncology for more than 40 years in several countries and in various services, aiming at combining conventional medicine and complementary medicine to reach an optimal quality of life for cancer patients.
